Do I actually own the stock?+
You own a token that is 1:1 backed by the underlying share. A regulated custodian holds the real share in reserve; you hold the on-chain claim in your wallet. Attestations are published on-chain.
Can I trade outside market hours?+
Yes. Because trades settle against on-chain liquidity — not the NYSE — markets on EquityX are open 24/7, including weekends. Spreads may widen while underlying exchanges are closed.
Do tokenized stocks pay dividends?+
Yes. Dividends from the underlying share are distributed pro-rata to token holders in USDC, automatically, on the ex-dividend date.
What happens if EquityX goes offline?+
Your tokens are yours — they live in your wallet, not on our servers. You can transfer, hold, or redeem them at the custodian at any time using the on-chain redemption contract.
What chain does it run on?+
Robinhood Chain — an Arbitrum Layer-2 built on Ethereum, using ETH as the native gas token and Ethereum blobs for data availability. Chain ID 4663. Any EVM wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet) works out of the box.
